The Magic Flute at the World Class Opera House Opera Bastille, Paris
From January 23 to February 23, 2017, the Opera de Paris puts on a splendid operatic show that brings to light The Magic Flute opera by the prolific and leading composer of the Classical period Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791).

Written in two acts with a German libretto to the German impresario and artist Emanuel Schikaneder (1751 – 1812), The Magic Flute received its world premiere at Schikaneder's theatre, the Theater auf der Wieden, in Vienna, on 30 September 1791, just a couple of months before Mozart’s death.
The show, conducted by Henrik Nánási and directed by Robert Carsen promises to offer its attendees one of the greatest musical experiences of their lives.
A group of the most sought-after operatic singers will grace the stage of Opera Bastille on this occasion including Stanislas de Barbeyrac, Pavol Breslik, Gabriela Scherer, Annika Schlicht, Nadine Weissmann, Michael Volle, Florian Sempey, Christina Gansch, René Pape, Tobias Kehrer, Andreas Conrad, Nadine Sierra, Kate Royal, Elsa Dreisig, Albina Shagimuratova, Sabine Devieilhe, José Van Dam, Sebastian Pilgrim, Paul Kaufmann, Martin Homrich, Luke Stoker, and Solistes des Aurelius Sängerknaben Calw.
