Travel in time and space !

From 18/10/2017 to 26/02/2018

The Musée national des artsasiatiques – Guimet (MNAAG) is home, starting from October 18th, 2017, until February 26th, 2018, to a special and interesting exhibit that aims to bring the public's attention to the trip of Émile Guimet and Félix Régamey, a trip that paved the way to creating the Musée Guimet in the second half of the 19th century.

Passionately devoted to travel and being one of the most renowned industrialist and connoisseur at that time, Guimet was commissioned by the minister of public instruction to conduct a full study about the religions of the Far East, in 1876. Accompanied by the French painter and illustrator, Félix Régamey, he made this expedition, bringing to France the finest collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain, besides many other amazing objects relating to Asian, Ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman religions.

Musée Guimet is located right in the 16th arrondissement, near the city's most popular monuments. So, be there!
