Ilone and George Kremer
Heirs of the Dutch painting Golden Age
Spared by wars or even by the Inquisition, Holland became, during the XVIIth century, a promised land for the artists of all the European countries. A land in which the arts could develop to the point of giving rise to the golden age of Dutch painting.
Franz Hals, Rembrandt, Gerrit Van Honthorst or Isaac Van Ostade… The 60 works presented at the Pinacotheque de Paris come from the collection assembled for more than 16 years by the couple of Dutch origin : Ilone and George Kremer.
