The Renaissance in Prato
This exhibition at the Musee du Luxrmbourg brings some 59 paintings and sculptures created between the XIVth and the XVIth century, which have never been shown in France. Those works come from the Prato City Museum in the Palazzo Pretorio, now closed for refurbishment, as well as from other institutions. It will provide a unique opportunity to discover the artistic heritage of a city which incontestably was an artistic centre during the Renaissance, notably to the stylistic innovations brought about by Filippo, and later by Filippino Lippi during their respective journey in Prato.
